The theme of this year’s roundtable meeting is “Port as a lever for reform”. The participants will discuss the disruptive, digital and decarbonization issues faced by the maritime industry through video conferences, as well as how port management agencies can respond to future challenges and maintain Agility and innovation.
The port management agency that signed the statement also promised to explore joining the "Port Management Agency Chief Information Officer Cybersecurity Network" established by the Maritime Safety Administration of Singapore, to promote cooperation in maritime cybersecurity, and to ensure that relevant agencies respond in a timely manner by sharing threat information. The port management agency also agreed to cooperate with the Maritime Safety Administration and other stakeholders on the decarbonization of maritime affairs, including the establishment of maritime decarbonization centers in Singapore and overseas.
Singapore Maritime Affairs Bureau Director Ke Lifen said that during the epidemic, the maritime industry has accelerated the progress of digitalization, and ports in various places have quickly adopted contactless operation technology. However, at the same time, countries tightening border regulations will not only affect the health and safety of seafarers, but also affect global trade. .
